Thanks for sharing. My similar journey involved over 2 decades of be benzodiazepines, which provided limited relief and, as well known, a slew of risks and side effects.
It took me a while to respond because I've had a case of S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder). I'm feeling renewed after participating in a sound bowl meditation on X as well as getting back to walking regularly and I've started a new supplement (which I'll talk more about later).
I can relate to your experience with benzodiazepines. They were the first medicine I withdrew from - beyond grateful that I was able to do so. I have read some accounts of benzo withdrawal that are so heartbreaking. Yes, they can be helpful, but I believe all of the psychiatric medicines should be used short term only and even then, they can be very damaging. We need to have informed consent!
I look forward to communicating in the future. It seems we have a great deal in common!
Thanks for your reply! I'm glad that it seems you are coping better with your S.A.D. I, too, look forward to communicating more in the future and, if you'd be open to it, potentially combining our knowledge and experiences to collaborate on some informative articles/newsletters.
